I’m KC Giannini and I’m a paralegal student and Tacoma Community College. I’m working toward earning my Paralegal Pro-Certificate and I’m about halfway through the program. I heard about an internship opportunity here at NWCLC from my program advisor and I’ve been interning at NWCLC for about four weeks. I chose to intern here because bankruptcy and consumer law touches all of us. We are all consumers, with rights and recourses when we have been wronged. I also chose to intern here because my parents filed bankruptcy decades ago and it was a tremendously shameful and scary experience for them. I want to help others who are going through this process and help them see it’s not something to be ashamed of. As my mentor here at NWCLC put it, “bankruptcy is a tool to regain your financial power”.
