My name is McKyna Jacobson, I am a graduating senior at the University of Washington. My areas of study include LSJ and Political Science. I am interning at NWCLC because their work is both important and impactful. It was not until working here that I learned that you are not guaranteed a lawyer in civil cases, and therefore organizations such as NWCLC play a vital role in consumer proceedings. Throughout my time here I have acquired knowledge ranging from complex bankruptcy procedure to filling out a “Notice of Appearance.” Interning for a non-profit has helped build my confidence in a professional setting as well as taught me about the importance of even the smallest tasks when assisting the office staff in reaching their various goals. I am excited for the rest of my time with NWCLC and eager to see them grow individually and as an organization.
